Our team merges organic synthesis and main group chemistry with biological environments.
We focus more precisely on the introduction of fluorine under conditions compatible with fluorine-18 labelling to perform PET imaging with new probes and via new methods. Combination with fluorescence properties to generate multimodal probes represents one extension of this research with theranostic compounds as the ultimate grail. These researches are obviously involving bioconjugation to biologically relevant macromolecules.
We also explore the ability of biomolecules and multipotent molecular scaffolds to generate appropriate environments in order to perform catalysis and promote molecular complexity. We are more specifically interested in playing with carbenes to perform pericyclic reactions within a structured environment.
